Two kinds of motorcycle lift. A table takes the whole bike up to bench height on a platform with a wheel clamp, for everything from oil changes to fork swaps, and needs floor space, air or a foot pump, and $750 to $1,750. A jack lifts the bike by its frame from underneath, 14 to 15 inches, for wheels, chains and brakes, and costs $56 to $145. The Black Widow ProLift (1,500 lb, 7 to 31.25 in, 105.5 by 48 in platform, 90 to 110 PSI air, $1,750) is the pick for a table; the VEVOR hydraulic table (1,000 lb, 8.6 to 31 in, $878) is the hydraulic one; the 1,000 lb hydraulic ramp ($770, 81.25 in long) is the drop-panel table at the price; the VIVOHOME 350 lb table ($135) is for dirt bikes; and the VIVOHOME 1,100 lb ($56), OMT 1,100 lb ($70), VEVOR 1,500 lb hydraulic ($125) and VIVOHOME 1,500 lb hydraulic ($145) jacks are the frame lifts. Every pick gives capacity, range, platform or deck size and what drives it; none is called safe, and each says who should skip it. The ratings and the tie-down instructions are the makers' in their listings.

How we chose

Lifts sold for motorcycles and ATVs, judged on capacity, lift range, platform or deck size, drive (air, hydraulic pedal, crank), locks, clamps and straps, casters, and price (October 9, 2026), from their Amazon listings; Black Widow's own product page for the ProLift was not found, so its figures are the listing's. Ratings are the makers'; we do not test them.

Table or jack

A table holds the bike upright in a wheel clamp with the straps the makers tell you to use, at a height where forks, wheels and engines come out standing up; it needs 9 feet of floor, a compressor for the air models, and the bike wheeled up a ramp. A jack lifts the frame from below, the bike balanced on it and strapped (VIVOHOME: always use the included straps), 14 to 15 inches up, for wheels, chain and brake work on the floor. The jack's deck has to clear the exhaust and reach flat frame rails; cruisers with low pipes and sport bikes with fairings are the ones to check before buying.

Air

The Black Widow tables want 90 to 110 PSI by their listings, which is a compressor that holds 90 under load, not one that peaks there. The hydraulic tables and jacks want a foot. The electrical guide covers the compressor's circuit if the table is the reason to buy one.

Height and the ceiling

A table at 31 inches plus a bike's height is under most garage ceilings; a low door track or an overhead shelf over the bay is the thing to check, and the calculator works for a bike as well as a car with the platform entered as the pad.

What to skip

Skip a used Central Hydraulics high-position motorcycle lift, item 99887, until you have checked it: Harbor Freight recalled 41,715 of them in 2023 because welds or tubing could break, and the recall checker lists the notice. Skip an air table without a compressor. Skip a frame jack for a bike whose exhaust or belly pan the deck cannot clear. Skip lifting without the straps the maker includes and tells you to use. And skip a 350-pound dirt-bike table for a street bike.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best motorcycle lift table for a home garage?

Black Widow's ProLift: 1,500 lb, 7 to 31.25 inches on 90 to 110 PSI of air, a 105.5 by 48-inch platform on the extra-wide version ($1,750) or 105.5 by 24 on the standard ($1,475), with a wheel clamp, centre jack and dolly wheels, by its listing.

Do motorcycle lift tables need an air compressor?

The Black Widow ProLift tables do (90 to 110 PSI by their listings). The VEVOR table, the 1,000 lb hydraulic ramp and the VIVOHOME dirt-bike table use a hydraulic foot pedal and need none.

How much weight can a motorcycle jack lift?

1,100 lb on the VIVOHOME and OMT scissor jacks, 1,500 on the VEVOR and VIVOHOME hydraulic jacks, by their listings. Check your bike's wet weight against the rating and use the makers' straps.

How high does a motorcycle jack lift?

3.7 to 14.6 inches on the OMT scissor jack and 4.5 to 14.8 on the VIVOHOME hydraulic jack by their listings. Tables reach 31 to 34 inches.

Will a scissor jack fit under my bike?

The deck has to clear the exhaust and reach flat frame rails; the VIVOHOME hydraulic jack needs 4.5 inches of clearance by its listing and says it does not suit models with fairings in the way. Measure before buying.

Can I lift an ATV on a motorcycle lift?

The Black Widow extra-wide table (48 in wide) and the VEVOR and VIVOHOME 1,500 lb jacks are listed for ATVs. The 21.75-inch-wide hydraulic ramp table and the dirt-bike table are not.
